Love and I are hanging around the cracks of boulders with his hiking buddies (apparently, he's joined a hiking group as well). Everyone is crawling around or laying in boulder gaps or crevices. I ask him if he's ready for his hike, he says they're "just" going to "Henn Flats" today. The scene sometimes flashes to me crawling over the second seat of Narcissist's Escalade (like crawling over a rock) and making instant noodles for Love (of course he just wants a little bit of salty broth with his noodles...Chinese sausages are added as an option).
Love and I are with cousins in what appears to be a small, abandoned town center. We make our way toward a building with several blue steps leading down into a courtyard and a gate. The cousins (and I?) realize that it is the house for the USFS or NPS volunteers. Love and I walk in anyway, while the cousins stay behind.
We walk through a dining room, a couple of bedrooms, and a central linoleum'd room to an orange wire gate on a grassy mound. All of the furniture in the house is older-style. Love tells me that he volunteered for the USFS for years, but was never permitted to go more than 1 step (there are 3-4 stairs behind the gate) past the gate. We go in, knowing that we're not supposed to...1...2...3 steps and what we see is amazing...a large, shallow, clear lagoon to the left with a fence of wood posts (in the water) with an entering/exiting gap in the middle and one to the far right. To the right of the lagoon is a pool formed by a stream. The floor of the pool is tiled - white tiles with dark blue borders. In the pool is a salmon and a large saltwater crocodile!
We run further into the off-limits area to check it out. The round, shallow lagoon is also tiled (white). Suddenly we see USFS or NPS volunteers headed our way on a motorboat. I hide behind the post-fence, near the center opening thinking that they would enter through the side opening and not see me. Love goes to hide near the side. I think they will find him, but I'm wrong. They head my way. I pretend to be asleep in the water. They spot me, approach, and splash me with water to wake me up. They scold me and tell me that I'm not supposed to be here and that I need to leave now. Love and I run back up to the gate and into the house. We lose our way and discover a few more bedrooms, some with ocean views, before finding our cousins near the restrooms attached to the central linoleum'd room. We use the restroom - large public restroom with many disgusting toilets and a few showers - and make our way back out. Part of the way, I'm climbing on furniture for fear that there are Saltwater crocs inside.
We exit back out the gate to the blue stairs. End.
