Last night's trip to The Twilight Zone involved Hiker M, giving my fish (who magically doubled in number) a bath (yes, in a bath tub. No soap.). I'm pretty sure the fish swam in the tub water and outside the tub water...like in the air...at some point, too. Anyway, I was too lazy to wake up and write it all down.

It starts with me walking through the woods – mossy,
moist, green and dark brown, lots of uprooted trees. Large and
medium snakes EVERYWHERE – 3 or so species, all have rattlers.
Monastic cousin #1 appears temporarily
with a close up photo (moving photo?) of a large rattler slithering
away off of a fallen tree “See! If you are nice to them and don't
frighten them, they will leave you alone!”
I end up in an oval/square room with a
soft soil floor. Little plastic grey things poke out of the soil. A small pile/wall of dirt circles something like a concrete-walled
room in the middle of this larger room; the soil slopes gently downward and forms another raised ring around the edge of the main room. A reptile exhibit covers the
entire floor ~25% lizards and 75% snakes, all different species
dried, dead, and local – not all rattlers. But there are some live
snakes amongst them, and I have to be careful where I walk. My fish
tank sits outside one side of the smaller room, larger and with 7-8 fish, all rosy barbs of
different shapes/sizes (with realistic morphologies) I don't know if
I'm coming from or going to the middle room (whose entrance faces
away from me) or coming from/going to the opposite side of the large room. Either way,
I have to circle half the reptile display/room, watching where I
walk. I approach my tank, it's sitting on a circular glass tabletop
that's on a long rectangular table. I accidentally push against the
tabletop and hoards and hoards of snakes, all live, different
species, local, start pouring out from between the tabletop and
table...eventually even just appearing to come from the table. They
form a river across this part of the room so I decide to circle back
around. But more snakes are out and it's dangerous/difficult to walk
around. Ad eventually comes in and asks if this reptile display is
a problem – I say not really, except the hoard of snakes pouring
out from under my fish tank.
Next thing I know, the room is cleared
of reptiles...
I'm outside a building and Hiker T shows
me 2 Yelp elite event descriptions on his smartphone and asks which I would pick to go to.
I say I don't know, but probably the East one just because it's
probably closer. Some images of girls in lacey snow flake dresses
walk in somewhere with a christmas tree (possible leather and lace
theme).
I'm in a small room with a few arcade
games – 3ish other people standing near me, talking. I start
searching for lost coins and get pretty lucky, mostly finding them
outside the game machines on the floor in holes where wires are
exposed. Ad walks in, grabs some coins that I was about to, puts them in a
sandwich bag, and adds his pile of coins to them. Then he demands
that the pens in the lab be labeled. Mate H and I are trying to
reason with him – why do they need to be labeled? ; So that I know
what task the pens are used for; there is only one type of pen used
for everything and maybe chalk for chalkboards and markers for
whiteboards; what about the ball point pens for undergraduates?
Those need to be labeled; why don't we just put those in a separate
container? ; No, they need to be labeled and in the same container so
that I can find a pen quickly. Ad disappears, Mate H and I think it's
so much faster to look at a pen and know what it is than read a label
on the pen. I think we eventually label the pens "# LLLLLLL"
I have 11-13 bunnies. Dad puts them in
the back yard. I fear Puddles will kill them. I look into the
garage and think I see the bunnies squeeze under the door, running
from or watching out for something, but it's actually a hoard of fluffy cats.
I go to our sliding doors to find the bunnies. Dad is there, they're
fine. “see” - 8 white ones lined up in 2 lines of 4 are sitting
in an elongated flower pot filled with soil. Several bunnies in the back move and I
get worried as I see a grey one looking slightly flattened
underneath, but he's fine...other bunnies are on the roof playing...all
bunnies are playing, dad is gardening, 2 large puppies are between dad and
the bunnies, watching the bunnies.
<I wake up to write the above>
We're going skydiving or fake
skydiving. I have to leave most of my things here on the floor and
only take small valuables – this place looks like someone's home converted into
an office. As we leave, I realize that I have forgotten something and worry about
it the whole time. I get back and other people have come but it's
still there – my camera, sitting outside it's case under a wood
chair next to a child. We then eat the lunch provided by the company
(we may have opted for a multiple-jump package)...3 simmering pots of hot chunky
soup are on the stove, 2 vegetarian, 1 meat+veggies, a bunch of stuff on
the wood table. I take a little of each soup...
